Adel Vice

Hi(drangea)! I am Adel Vice (pronounced like edelweiss), a freelance artist and 2D animator. I previously went by Heidi Lange/H A Lange. My pronouns are they/them.

I graduated from UCLA in 2015 with a Bachelors of Science in Psychobiology and incorporate my studies of humanity in my art. Inspired by polymaths throughout history, I strive to acquire skills in many disciplines and create projects interconnecting them. I'm most drawn to stories exploring mental health, queer identities, and Asian-American culture in order to lend my own experiences to these projects and uplift the voices of my peers.

My experience in animation began with high school electives and after school projects. Though my education trajectory veered away from art school, the ever-expanding understanding of people I gained through studying psychology injects life into my characters and stories. In my free time, I give feedback to students learning animation on the ACME Network and manage a small Discord for networking and resources in the art community.

 

I also enjoy many other activities that contribute to my skills in multiculturalism, storytelling, body-mechanics, and performance. These hobbies include Japanese conversation clubs, martial arts, roller derby, circus arts, music, dance, drag, video editing, DND, and cosplay.
